How Important is Discipline in School

Today we are talking about this topic, but first I want to ask: what is school? For me, school is not only a building where students study and gain knowledge. No, I believe school is like my first home. It is the place where I learn and understand who I am, why I study, and why I need to respect our elders, teachers, and parents. The most important thing is that in school I learn a lot. School is important for all of us.

Now, coming back to our main topic: How important is discipline in school? In my opinion, discipline plays a vital role in our daily life. It is very important because without discipline, we have no idea how to react or how to behave with our teachers or elders. Without this knowledge, we cannot achieve what we want in life.

For example, when a teacher is teaching in the classroom and I am not paying attention, the teacher might say, “Don’t talk” or “Be quiet.” At that moment, I should know how to respond respectfully. If I answer in a rude way, my behavior will hurt the teacher, and it shows that I have no idea that my language and speaking skills can destroy relationships. But if I answer properly, my teacher feels happy and proud, thinking that this student’s behavior is very good. That is the difference—and the importance—of discipline in school.

I have also noticed that discipline is not just about following rules. It helps us listen better, complete our work on time, and support our classmates. When everyone follows the same respectful habits, the whole class learns more, and school truly feels like the home I mentioned earlier.
